    Angad Kaur Khalsa

    Angad Kaur is a devoted teacher and practitioner of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, with over 27 years of study, practice, and service. She is a Lead Trainer in the Aquarian Trainer Academy and has held space at the NYC center for more than two decades. A Level III certified Sat Nam Rasayan® healer and instructor, she trained deeply in this subtle art of meditative healing. Known for her unwavering dedication, steady presence, and boundless humor, Angad Kaur holds space for the sacred to be felt and remembered. She is deeply grateful to her teachers, who gave their lives to practice, study, and learning so they could serve, share and others could learn.

    Dr Barry Goodman/Joginder Singh

    Dr. Barry Goodman is a 66-year-old spiritual aspirant and energy healer. Formally trained as a physical education and special physical education teacher, Dr. Barry has been devoted to human performance and helpful living practices from early on. A Doctor of Chiropractic since 1987; a Reiki practitioner and teacher, and now master since 2000; a Kundalini Yoga Teacher since 2005;a Qi Gong practitioner and teacher since 2022; and a Mindfulness practitioner. Integrating these practices for direct health and medical benefits is his offering. Now he teaches self healing energy practices, SHEP, in classes, workshops, and as prescriptions for healthfulness, mindfulness and spirituality. Infinite Space, New York City, and Kundalini Yoga East have been his "home" for his greatest learning and practice of healing. Infinite Space NYC keeps his SSRT healing practice, an integrated practice of yogic neuromuscular deep tissue therapy, Reiki and Chiropractic. SSRT is Somatic Spiraling Release Techniques, a unique healing modality, combining all of his practices to help unlayer held deep tensions, stress and trauma. Dr. Barry Goodman's spiritual name is Joginder, meaning, Jog is root sound for yoga, to unite or bring center, mind, body and breath. Inder means king or ruler, which is to be personally masterful so he can share and teach and heal with others. Join him for his stimulating and healing classes which are known to improve health, happiness, holiness, and reduce medical risk factors.

    Ben Wilenski

    Ben has been at the yoga center since birth. His mother would come to classes while pregnant, and when Ben was born, Angad Kaur would care for him as his mother continued practicing kundalini yoga. He is currently a graduate student in Hunter College's English department and plans on pursuing a PhD once he graduates. He uses the energies from Kundalini to further his studies and enhance his focus. Ben helps make the center a warm and welcoming place to all as he greets students and aids in Infinite Space NYC's general upkeep.

    Deborah/Hari Nam Kaur

    Hari Nam kaur has studied and continues to practice and teach Kundalini Yoga with gratitude and joy for four decades. She is certified in Level I and II as well as in Children’s Yoga and has participated in White Tantric Yoga in New York and Women’s Camp in New Mexico. Hari Nam Kaur has also taught yoga to many children in after school programs throughout New York City. She is a published poet and a writer/performer producing solo shows to give expression to a few dynamic aspects of her being. As she believes in the transformative power of Kundalini Yoga, so too she believes in the power of laughter.

    Jessica is a dedicated healer and teacher who helps others connect to mindfulness, inner peace, and personal growth. With over 20 years of experience as a Reiki Master Practitioner, she offers a calm, nurturing energy in all she does. She is also a Professional Certified Life Coach, creating empowering spaces for transformation. Her training in Kundalini Yoga at Kundalini Yoga East in NYC deeply shaped her path, offering a spiritual anchor and a powerful tool for awakening. Jessica’s passion for learning and evolving is ever-present, and she loves sharing that inspiration to support others on their own healing journeys.

    Josh/Tej Randeep

    Kundalini Yoga and Meditation have been a steady path for Josh over the past eight years, with six spent sharing the practice through teaching. He’s completed multiple Level 2 Trainings and the 21 Stages of Meditation course, deepening both his personal practice and his capacity to guide others.  He is a certified Reiki healer and sees Reiki as a natural complement to the practice of Kundalini Yoga. Born and raised in New York City and a former stand-up comedian, he is a big fan of all things comedy. Josh is deeply grounded, and brings warmth and encouragement to every class. He makes the work feel both accessible and practical. When he’s not teaching, he’s engaged in the flow of financial markets, actively trading and investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies.

  • Makiko Oka

    Makiko Oka

    Born and raised in Tokyo in a family of traditional musicians, Makiko was deeply shaped by her grandmother, a teacher of Koto and Shamisen, proud of her samurai blood. She taught her that posture reflects one’s soul. After moving to NYC, Makiko trained at the Martha Graham School and earned an MA in Dance from NYU. She is a Certified GAPS Practitioner, Feldenkrais Method and JKA practitioner, CNC, Reiki Master, and trained in Pilates, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Gyrotonic, Hypnosis, and Intuitive Healing. She developed the Posture Balance approach, an integration of movement, nutrition, and awareness, to restore the body, mind, soul connection. Posture is not just physical, it is the foundation of healing, presence, and being.

    Simran Kaur Khalsa

    Simran is a life-long yogi dedicated to living and teaching a vibrant, joyful, and easeful life. A product of a yogic lifestyle, her parents have practiced and taught Kundalini Yoga in New York City since 1970, training teachers at Kundalini Yoga East since the 1990s. An expert in posture, breath, and body awareness, Simran helps others feel their best through sustainable, self-loving practice. A survivor of food addiction and bulimia, she now counsels others on the path to recovery. With support, yoga, and daily self-care, she transformed pain into purpose and teaches how to live from the heart with a smile.

    Rich Mancuso
